| Workshops and Classes Tangerine offers some awesome workshops and classes year round for people who like to make art. Classes are added from time to time so be sure to stop in and check them out. If you would like to be added to our mailing list simply send us an emailus and type "hey add me to your mailing list " in the subject box! If you are interested in registering for a class give us a call and get signed up, we will be glad to answer any questions you have. A deposit is usually required to hold your space and is non refundable. If you reschedule we will be glad to credit your deposit to another class if you give us a heads up at least a week before class. |
| February 5th, Sunday, 10:30-3:00 Sweetheart stamped ring PMC Simple silver band text stamped. We will be using a torch and sanding tools. This is a class for beginners in PMC. Class is limited to 5 students, the fee is $45.00. You will need to purchase your clay separate here at Tangerine, or bring your own if you have a stash. Price depends on the current market. Tools and instruction included. |
| March 18th, Sunday, 10:30-5:00 Paper Clay Dollmaking 101 We will be using paper clay to sculpt one of a kind dolls. This is a beginning class. This is a technical class not a project based workshop. Class is limited to 8 students, the fee is $100.00. All supplies, tools, inspiration and a treat will be included. |
| April 15, Sunday, 10:30-2:30 Gypsy Necklace Challenge Everyone is making, buying and wearing Gypsy junk jewelry. In this class each student will receive a kit with new, vintage, and unusual pieces to assemble. No two kits will be alike and there will be a post class critique. This is a inspiration class not a project based workshop. It is recommended for students who have some experience with jewelry tools and assembly. The class is limited to 10 students, the fee is $65.oo and all tools and supplies are included. |
| May 5th, Sunday, 10:30-2:30, Silver Pendant PMC Another beginners PMC class just in time for Mothers Day, we will be making a simple stamped silver pendant that can be hung from a chain or pretty ribbon. We will be using sanding tools and a torch in this class. Class is limited to 5 students, the fee is 45.00 and silver clay will have to be purchased seperate from Tangerine or you can bring your own stash. Price for clay depends on current market. |
| June 3rd, 10th, 15th 10:30-3:00 Sacred Vessel Ceramic Workshop My kilns are getting dusty and need a good firing up so we are going to have a ceramic workshop here at Tangerine. The first day we will concentrate on form, then the second day the surface, the last day is pick up and critique (5:30-7p). This is a beginners workshop. We will be hand building a narrative bowl. Attention will be given to the form of the vessel, exploring what bowls mean to us as humans, as women. This will be very personal work. Instruction, tools, clay and two firings included in fee. The Fee is 85.00 for all three days. |
